Help me give my students comfortable chairs, snacks, and basic supplies for our after school tutorials; students have had a long day and are continuing to learn after regular school hours and you will help!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Currently, I work with grades 9-12 in AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, a National College Prep Program. We work with students to move forward as the next step ready by exploring colleges and careers. As you can see in the picture, students who come to my classroom have daily reminders and visuals about different college options. AVID helps all students through teaching strategies about writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading.
Our students would love support for during their tutorials.
This would allow all of our students after school supplies to use during their tutorials. We are hoping to have our students rise above in science and math and this would only help to level the playing field.
My Project
Students have often had a long day and still continue to move forward by staying after school for tutorials. This time is much needed time where the get a one on one environment for questions and concerns.
Your donations will help build our space and give students support to keep learning after a school.
We are looking to give students supplies, comfortable seating and incentives needed to continue on their journey. Our students are really starting to move forward and this project will help continue the momentum! These are small needs that will make a great impact on tons of students.
