My students need access to 4 Chromebooks as 21st century learners, which requires technological skills for college and/or a career.

My Students

The students in my classroom are a resilient bunch! They come from so many cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. The majority of the students I see everyday are from high-need, low-income families. All students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch daily. Many depend on school to get what they need in nurture their minds, and their bellies!

Many times their experiences at school, are their only experiences.

Through the adversity they face, my students do not give up. They come to school and become better learners and members of our community.

My Project

As 21st century learners, it is imperative that my students have access to technology and the opportunities to learn using a variety of technology in school. The 4 Chromebooks from this project will replace the desktops that are currently in my classroom, allowing students to continue typing, researching, playing educational games, designing, exploring and creating using technology!

Technology is an integral part of learning in 2018!

Students must not only be prepared for Next Generation Testing but college and the work force. Because of my students' backgrounds, many of them do not have access to this kind of technology outside of school.
