My Students

My students are eager to learn third graders! Our classroom is filled with lifelong, diverse, enthusiastic, kind learners. We motivate and encourage one another to be ourselves and to learn from one another.

No one is afraid to make a mistake because my students know that this is how we learn.

We work together to achieve success! We celebrate the uniqueness and diversity that we all bring to the classroom.

We are a large, urban, public, K-8 school with close to one thousand students in the heart of the city. Many students receive free breakfast and lunch due to economic hardship. We are extremely caring and supportive of one another. It is a great place to be!

My Project

During these trying times, I would love to prevent a lull in my students' education by providing them with a snack. Most of my students rely on the school to receive food. They eat breakfast and lunch at school and then sometimes go without dinner. Snacks are an important role in managing hunger and boosting nutrition. A snack would provide a much-needed energy boost between meals for my students. Snacks would provide fuel for their growing, active bodies and minds!

I want my students to focus on their learning versus their hunger.
