My students need TIME for Kids magazine subscriptions to enhance our knowledge of current events and social studies. The magazine subscription includes weekly issues for each individual student.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class is a second grade class in Philadelphia, PA. I have 29 students who are eager to learn and grow this year! Every day when they walk into the classroom, they look forward to hearing about what they will learn that day.
Each student is so unique and has something very special to offer.
I am happy I have the opportunity to tap into all of their potential and to see what they are capable of. This year is going to bring many amazing opportunities for these students to learn!
My Project
This project is to give students access to a TIME for Kids magazine subscription. The students will receive a weekly magazine that presents social studies topics and current events in kid-friendly colorful print. The magazine gives the students an interactive forum in which to learn social studies topics.
In a world where we are presented with so much digital news, TIME for Kids gives the students a way to access news stories in text.
This is a great tool for them to learn how to access real information and process current event stories. I would like to foster an interest in learning about current events through the use of this magazine.
