This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Natchez, Mississippi, is located on the banks of the Mississippi River. Our town has little to no industry. All of my students qualify for free lunches. My students are precious children whose parents struggle to provide for them. Job opportunities are very limited in this area.
My students are an enthusiastic group of kindergarteners who have inspired me to provide the best learning environment possible for them.
They celebrate their accomplishments as well as those of their classmates. These children deserve a learning environment in which they can succeed.
My Project
This project will provide materials for large group discussions and make my students aware of community helpers, social issues, famous people and many other topics that Time for Kids Magazine for children provides. It will be an exciting weekly gift my students will enjoy the entire school year.
This high interest grade level magazine will inspire my students to be good citizens.
This informative magazine will help students learn the difference between fact and fiction. Students will be exposed to positive things going on in the community and learn that children can make a difference, This colorful magazine will provide my students dreams of a better tomorrow.
