My students need an iPad to gain technology literacy skills. I am also asking for a TIME for Kids weekly subscription that they also have access to electronically!

My Students
I have never seen a more motivated group of students. Every day these students walk into the classroom with smiles on their faces eager to start the day. This year, I am teaching an inclusion classroom.
The classroom is built with 23 brilliant students with mixed abilities.
Each student has their own strengths and weaknesses. And when they work together, nothing stands in their way. My students enjoy completing projects that require hands on learning. They are constantly moving from center to center eager for the next lesson!
My Project
TIME for Kids will allow my students to say up to date with current events and topics that kids are interested in. The students will receive a weekly issue. In addition to the paper issue, Time will also send it electronically. Students will then be able to use the iPad to read and explore additional features to the text. In third grade, students are required to read and comprehend nonfiction texts. This will be a great way for them to have weekly exposures to nonfiction text. The iPad will also be utilized everyday during math centers and ELA. By having the iPad in the room, students will be able to gain technology literacy skills they they need in the ever changing world.
