This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school and many of our students come from low income families. The students come to school with limited experiences, yet are eager to learn everyday.

My classroom has 22 diverse students who are inquisitive, thoughtful, and have a love of building knowledge.

They enter school each day with a smile and excitement to learn. Many of them say that coming to school is the best part of their day. We promote collaboration and 21st Century skills throughout the school day to support life long learners.

My Project

We would like a class subscription to TIME for Kids magazine to expose our students to current events, help them learn more about what is happening in the world around them, and provide them with more opportunities to read informational text.

TIME for Kids magazine is perfect to provide information just for kids that explains the world around them!

The students cannot get enough of informational text. They are always excited to read and learn about anything real and current events. It allows them to make connections to the world and strengthen their learning. TIME for Kids magazine will provide the students with opportunities to read social studies and science concepts while expanding their knowledge and keeping them highly engaged.
