My students need current events to understand what is happening in the world around them. TIME For Kids allows them to explore nonfiction articles with creative and interesting topics that relate to their lives.

My Students

My fourth grade students live in the inner city. They come from diverse backgrounds which brings fun and exciting cultures to our classroom. They work hard to be successful at every challenge thrown their way.

My students are ready to be 21st century learners.

Each of my students face different and unique challenges, both in and out of school. My class is a safe space for them to learn and grow as individuals. It is my job to provide them with the resources they need to be successful!

My Project

TIME For Kids magazines provide students with nonfiction articles appropriate for their age level. Nonfiction reading and comprehension skills are a huge part of learning in the 21st century. My students will be building these skills with current event articles that they will find interesting and entertaining.

Educational magazines are an excellent way to make nonfiction learning fun!

I have used Time For Kids in the past. Students are excited to get their weekly issue! One thing I love about TFK is that each student gets their own copy of each edition! Students can take them home, read them to their parents, and share them with their siblings!
