Tigers Needed Feeding Bellies and Brains

My Students

My students come from challenging environments where aggression is often the answer to many problems. All of my students have some type of learning disability, and some have emotional disabilities. Some of them have trouble interacting appropriately with one another and teachers and administrators. They have impulsive behaviors. These students have sometimes gone through some type of trauma, a divorce, or been the victims of abuse and or neglect. All students in our district receive free lunch.

My Project

My students need more snacks that I can give them to eat when they are hungry and know that they will not eat regular meals at home. My students need food to take with them because they don't have regular meals or a home in some cases. Many come to school hungry, dirty, and upset because they have been or might be bullied or picked on. I am requesting chips and juice they can eat at school if they are hungry or take home. This will keep them from getting sick due to lack of nutrition, thus causing absences from school which will affect their education. We also need wipes and hand sanitizer to stay healthy in this pandemic.
