We have an amazing art department here at our school and we only want the best for our students. Our students have a ton of talent and potential to be great artists as long as we have the resources to instruct them.
We want to encourage our students' creativity and critical thinking skills in the art room.
Coal mining is what our county is most famous for and a lot of students come from coal mining families. Some students are currently living in poverty with broken families and many of them suffer from some sort of learning disability.
My students will learn the process of making tie dye t-shirts. We will use these shirts to screen print a design that I created for our visual arts department. We will soon be starting an Art club at our jr./sr. high school and we will use these projects to raise money for our art department. My students need tie dye kits to make t-shirts. Materials and funding are getting harder to come by these days, so we will do what we can to help get materials to continue the learning process for all of our students. Students love art at our school and we want them to continue their passion for learning in our art department.
