This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Time is priceless, and time is what is needed the most during an ACT test. The TI-83 graphing calculator provides students with the most precious things on the test - Time!

My students come from low-income, Latino families all over the Chicago land area.

Their dedication to their own success was shows everyday during their voluntary four summer orientation program. We had 95% attendance during the summer. My students are the pioneers of a Health Sciences charter high school which is opening the doors for them this September. Although the rigor of our program is very intense - 7 science and 7 math credits by graduation - my students are dedicated to be successful.

My Project

Our academic program is ACT oriented to ensure our students acceptance in universities. The TI-83 graphing calculators will help them be ready for when time for the ACT test comes. Being able to know how to use the calculators will enable them to achieve higher scores on the ACT's. I want to provide my students with the skills necessary to successfully take the test that decides where they go to college.
