My Students
I am a Student Assistance Counselor aka Crisis Counselor. The students that I serve, while many of them will come to me under unfortunate circumstances, such as behavioral struggles, low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety, and home life difficulties, I believe in them. I believe in their abilities, futures, and their present.
With me students in 5th-8th grade will learn coping skills, gain supports, and resources that will increase their chances of succeeding both now, and in the future.
My students are unique in that they they resilient, strong, powerful, leaders but have not yet had someone to really water those positive seeds.
My Project
You will find that my list consists of a mix of books, manipulatives, and other items that will contribute to the student's experience in my office.
The donations to this project will help my students improve their social & emotional learning skills.
All books that have been chosen are focused on self-esteem, kindness, and peer and family relationships. My role in my school is to help manage crises and teach coping skills. All items will be used to create a safe environment that allows them to resort to a calm atmosphere and return to learning in a positive manner. Thank you so much for your help!
