My Students

My students live in a very rural area in Eastern North Carolina. These students attend a K-8 school and are in the same classes together for their first 9 years of school.

These students are very culturally diverse and many are ESL (English as a Second Language) students.

Every student is treated with the utmost respect by not only every staff member, but also by every student. All classmates work with each other to make sure they understand the content and specific directions.

My Project

The baseball bats and infield nets will provide our baseball team the opportunity to run drills with half the number of players. Those players will be able to be working on other position specific drills that will help them at their position.

With these nets, we can work on infield plays without a first baseman just standing there waiting.

We can run these drills without certain positions. This will allow players to put extra work in after practice without having to ask other players to stay and help.

We are a small school and we don't always have enough players to run drills. We are preparing to win our first conference title in the next couple of years.
