My Students

My students are curious, motivated, and active! They have a need to be heard and are learning self-control and how to be good listeners and speakers, and how to channel all of the energy flowing through their little bodies into learning and exploring in a way that is both healthy and socially acceptable in today’s world, a world that is sometimes impatient and unwilling to listen.

We are a school with many families that come from a low socio-economic background, largely impacted by the opioid crisis and other substance abuse issues, yet we thrive and endure because of the tenacity and perseverance of some of our community’s youngest citizens: our students.

My Project

Since when did we start throwing things around a classroom?

Since now; now we throw things around the classroom.

With the Peeq Qball microphone, my students will be able to not only amplify their voice in a fun, engaging way by tossing the ball shaped microphone around to one another, but they will also be able to meet important speaking and listening standards encouraging them to become confident speakers and active listeners.

My goal is to not only acquire a Peeq Qball for my classroom, but to also obtain one for our PE teacher who asks for very little, but does SO much!
