This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Special Education teacher, I want to expose my students to the world of Biology and promote their understanding of all living things. The materials I am asking for will allow my students to begin to understand the scientific method: question, hypothesis, experiment, and conclusion. Traditional teaching methods do not work for students with disabilities; thus, teaching Biology using microscopes, dissecting kits, and animal cell slides will interest and motivate my students. They can look at actual cells through microscopes, draw what they observe, and discover life's complexity through a lens.
