This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are always active and engaging learners. We are a busy bunch in Kindergarten and love to learn.

As a teacher in a high-poverty school I do my best to bring hands on enriching experiences to the classroom, which may be the only way many of my students will receive such experiences.

I do my best as an educator to continue learning and find new and engaging ways for my students to experience the world around them... bringing the world to them!

My Project

Attending the Get Your Teach On! Conference will allow me to learn and experience content in the area of math and literacy to enrich my students learning. This conference provides hands on learning for me as the teacher to discover the best (and perhaps a new way) to present material to my students. In addition to improving my practice I will be able to collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators nation wide.

Being able to attend this conference will empower and enrich my teaching so that I may better serve my students in their educational journey.
