My Students

My students are hard-working, energetic kids in a rural Ohio district that are eager to learn and grow every day. They are excited to read and are immediately excited and engaged whenever technology is involved. My third-grade students are goal-setters and know that hard work will help them be successful!

My goal is to increase my students' love for learning, especially targeting my students who are reading below grade level, may not have access to books or technology at home, or my students will special needs.

My Project

The rigor of education has increased drastically. Third graders work so hard in reading complex texts while they work on comprehending what they read. It can be especially challenging for those students who are still working on decoding words. As a teacher, my goal is to make learning exciting for each child, despite what their working on, what their reading level is, or what their goals in reading are.

Every child deserves a positive, challenging work environment.

Allowing my students access to 10 Chromebooks would increase their motivation drastically, in both reading and writing. The use of technology prepares kids for 21st-century learning, while also motivating and encouraging them to reach their academic goals!
