My Project

This is a supplemental project to use our partial funds that were donated to another project that didn't get fully funded.

Our school is a Title I school and serves a very transient, low-economic population.

My 5th grade students don't have much and I'm trying to lighten the burden by having as much of the extras in my classroom as possible.

Our students all started out strong with donated school supplies, including headphones, but now we're down to just a few functioning pairs to share between 28 students. Im addition to this, a laptop stand will help keep the computer work station neat and tidy while the students conduct research or work on their reading skills.

These kids try hard, but have been dealt a tough hand in life. Most of them read below grade level. I'm hoping that the Magic Treehouse books will spark a lifetime love of reading in my most reluctant readers.

Games like Scrabble and building blocks will foster cooperation and community within our classroom, and across our neighboring grades too!

Having these items will mean so much to my current and future students. We thank you for your support on our pervious project, and promise to put these items to good use!
