This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to our classroom. We are a Title I school with 95% of our students having free or reduced lunch. If that wasn't hard enough many of our students and their families have added stresses due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath.
Despite the challenges my students have faced I see future teachers, doctors, scientists and artists sitting in my classroom every day.
I'm looking to ignite my students every day class experiences with more avenues for learning. While their home life and financial situations may be challenging I believe that our economic situation should never define our future.
My Project
My hope for these iPads is to help provide my students with a better platform to nurture a variety of learning experiences. With a multitude of free apps to download my mathematicians will be able to interact with their classmates and teachers to have meaningful conversations about rigorous math concepts.
Providing my students with this technology will help foster competent learners who can ensure success for the digital classroom.
Combining classroom concepts with real life teacher support that is reinforced with the use of technology will make sure that my students build the confidence they need to remain lifetime learners.
