Hello, Hola, xin chào, Hallå, سلام, Kamusta, Olá, ہیلو, and welcome to this STEAM Innovation-inspired project for energetic and enthusiastic students who represent five languages.
These loving children attend a high poverty, inland school in a state that is number one in prison spending and number forty nine in education spending.
Though we have neither counselors nor teachers for music, art, P.E., the library, or computers, our deserving students benefit from an attentive, caring staff and a "village" of generous supporters. We hope you will join us.
Inspired by Ms. Ross's project, "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" we will investigate weather and climate on all 7 continents. We will choose one region on each continent and use the Chromebook and management license to look up its weekly weather. The students will use the colored pencils and graph paper to plot temperature and rainfall and to show differences between the hemispheres. The stunning photos in the requested coffee table books will ignite their curiosity about the people and animals who live in the places we investigate.
Thank you for reading this proposal that invites students to explore the world from within the walls of our classroom, and if funded, please share with us your travel adventures of this pretty planet.
