My classroom is full of energetic, enthusiastic learners that are at varying degrees of development. I teach kindergarten children at a school with a very diverse population! We are in a low income area, but my children are eager to learn!

We moved into a wonderful new school last year, but there was no money left over to purchase items for our classrooms. The floor in our classroom is tile and it is a very uncomfortable place for us to sit! My children have a hard time participating in group activities when they are on the floor because they are constantly moving to get more comfortable.

We need a rug to sit on during our group instruction. The children would also be able to use this area during center time. The rug that we have chosen has the alphabet - both uppercase and lowercase - and pictures that go with each letter. This makes the rug a learning tool too! We would also like a carpet sweeper to keep our carpet clean. The children will learn to be responsible members of our classroom by cleaning up messes that they make as soon as they happen.

By donating, you will make it possible for my children to sit comfortably while learning. You will also give them an area to work on puzzles or play board games during free play. Please help us make our classroom a more cozy learning environment!
