I am a third grade teacher in the South Bronx. Each year I always try to take my children on one trip every month through the year. The last two months of school we usually go on a trip per week. This becomes a difficult time for my class because so many of my students can't afford to go on all the trips. Most of my students families are on public assistance, in foster care with a grandparent or families have very low paying jobs. Even when I ask for a small fee many of them struggle and have to choose which trips they can go on. I usually pay for some children to go out of my own pocket but I can't afford to pay for so many each week. Please help our class go to the Bronx Zoo and go in the special Congo Gorilla Forest. Since we are studying Africa and the rain forest I would love for them to go in this exhibit. Thank you in advance for helping my children.
