Mrs. McDermott from Warren MI is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 6 electronic Kindle tablets to utilize all of the 21st Century learning programs that will help them be successful in our world today!

Every day I tell my students I believe in them, I care for them, and I will do whatever it takes to help them reach their goals! They are the future of tomorrow and I can see that it is bright!
These 24 children are so full of life, they are passionate, hardworking, self motivated and curious!
They motivate me every day to be the best teacher I can be. My highest priority is to provide them with everything they want and need to learn, even if some days you can't find that in our text books. They inspire and teach me more then they will ever know.
I teach at a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunch and breakfast. Each student has a unique story, many of those stories come with hardships. My goal every day is to provide each of them with an environment that creates not just a love for learning but a classroom that they feel comfortable and happy in. I am so proud of each of them and want to provide them with the materials they deserve to use in their educational experience.
Having a set of Kindles in my classroom will allow me to differentiate my students learning. My hopes are to individualize what each student is working on when using the technology. Each child in my classroom has different learning needs and one of the best ways to help ALL of them reach their goals is by individualizing their learning.
With the technology accessible to my students they could use apps for various math and reading practices during our centers.
My students reading and math capabilities vary. It would be great to put what is best for each of them right at their finger tips. I feel it is important that my students have the opportunity to use technology in my classroom. Please help this project make a difference for my students!
