My Students

I want my students to know why they need to recycle and what it will mean to them in the future.

My Title I school is located in a wonderful city in NC that serves one of the largest military bases in the country.

We reach several hundred children with military connected families, as well as students with military parents who are currently deployed. All economic levels are represented, as well as students with English as their second language. My class is a diverse class of enthusiastic students who love learning about the world around them. They all love to learn about the world around them.

My Project

My students are beginning to learn more about their environment and the world around them. I want them to understand how important recycling is to their future. The rechargeable batteries and charger will be used with our Hot Dot Pens. I want my students to know that even batteries can be reused and we should take care to choose products that are sustainable. The Recycling Center is a fun and engaging way for students to learn how different materials can be recycled. This will help them at school and at home to learn how to recycle. The Environmental Awareness Science Library will help my students learn science concepts and vocabulary needed as they learn more about their environment and ways it can be protected.

My students are just learning how their purchases and choices in life can benefit the environment.

I would absolutely love for my students to have the opportunity that these resources would bring. Making science fun and learning basic core requirements using hands-on activities will help my students retain this knowledge. By helping my class with these items, you will give them a gift that will last forever.
