I feel the students need to have more visual and hands on activities within a science experience. There are so many great manipulatives out there that can assist in giving the students a better understanding of the concept of space, the sun, stars and planets. Our sources are so limited as far as funds, grants and on-hand materials. I have made several activities that work well in the classroom but they fall short of really having the manipulative ability that updated kits and materials can offer. Thank you for the opportunity to meet these special needs as we work to make education fun and exciting for the students. The more they can learn and enjoy the learning process the greater the chance of them having an interest in science or math or whatever the subject. I will assure you that the materials will be used and greatly appreciated. My interest is in the students loving to learn and enjoying school.
