This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are very diverse, from many different countries, cultures and backgrounds. They love to learn and are interested in so many things from space, to bike riding to fairytales. They also are interested in project learning to help those in need.
The school is the largest elementary school in the district and although the administration really helps out, it is hard to have enough money to provide all of the resources that the students need.
Many of my students are in Special Education, so they need a variety of differentiated materials to provide the instruction that they need.
My Project
These materials will allow my students to learn and interact with projects and assignments. They need paper for writing and for me to create meaningful assignments for them. They need markers in order for me to create anchor charts for reference for them and dry erase for them to be able to reuse assignments and write on dry erase boards for quick checks and responding to questions on the board. They also need highlighters in order to show and reference important parts of texts that they read and write . The ink will go a long way for me to make assignments for them.
