My students need to have better writing resources like the Language Practice Cards and Build a Paragraph to help them become experts in self correcting their writing. Having fun tools will increase their desire to write!
My students have different backgrounds, abilities, and styles. However, they come to school everyday ready to learn, lead, and write. They absolutely love writing and working on their language arts projects! They always give their best, and know that making mistakes is part of the learning process.Our school places great importance of leadership as well as writing. No matter what level they may be on, they give it everything they have! I want them to leave my class having a love a writing and of language!
My Project
I can already see amazing possibilities and the talent of my third graders in their writing, we just need your help to get them some resources and fun tools to help them become the writers that are hidden inside. I want to reach all of the different levels that my students are at in their writing. The use of the Language Practice Cards and Build a Paragaph Flip Book, will help support students that struggle with their grammar and word choice, as well as provide ideas for their writing. By using the SmartBoard Interactive writing lessons and the large magnetic writing page, I can model good writing for all of my students while integrating in 21st century technology skills.
Every writer needs to have tools that motivate them to create.
With the donations of anchor charts, fun bright markers, and tip top pencils, my students will find that writing can be fun! Implementing the creation of team anchor charts and writing projects with our scented markers, can help get relunctant writers excited! Students use artlices to pull evidence from with our text based writing. The use of highlighters and sticky notes with the pop up holders will allow easy access for them to keep track of the details in their writing pieces. The page protectors will allow my students to keep all of their writing treasures nice and neat in our Leadership Notebooks. All of the materials will guide us in our next steps to unlocking our hidden talents of becoming not only life-long writers, but leaders. We need your help though to make this a reality.
