My Students

My students need a deeper view of what is happening outside of their "little world." It is often difficult to provide them with age-level appropriate materials that deal with world-wide, current-time events.

These kids LOVE interactive, engaging and meaningful learning and Scholastic News Magazine could provide just that!

They are thrilled at the thought of getting to voice their opinions to others around the world and view lands from far-away. Please help these children learn to care about what goes on all over the world and be more aware that there is so much more!

My Project

Scholastic News Magazine reports week-to-week on current World events such as President Elections, Real-life, upcoming Scientist and Global activities going on now! It sends real-time videos and allows us to interact and/or vote on many situations.

This broadens student's horizons while helping them complete their required TEKS for Social Studies and Science in fun and engaging activities!

It reports like a real newspaper and teaches us to read, think and react on life-topics. It helps the students train for the day that they read the newspaper and take action in what will make a difference in their communities or even around the world.
