My Students

My wonderful students continue to deal with the uniqueness of school during a pandemic. Covid has made so many things difficult for these students. One thing that they struggle with is the uncertainty of what will happen in the future. I believe it is important to provide my students with the best resources possible in order to help them progress.

One way that I hope to help my students is by providing engaging activities that are standards based and help them to learn content as well as critical thinking skills.

My Project

Breakout boxes help students engage with literature and other lesson content in a fun and exciting way. They are asked to use critical thinking and problem solving skills in unique ways, and that helps them understand the material more deeply. Students work in groups, which helps them forge connections with their peers. They are required to think about the content from different perspectives and work together as a team in order to be successful. These boxes help students have a great time learning something new, as well as gives them a sense of success when they are able to breakout!
