I am a Special Education teacher! My students have ADHD, Autism and Specific Learning Disability. In spite of that, I love them. It is my passion and my goal to help these kids succeed regardless of their disabilities! It is a joy to see them excel and strive through challenging tasks.
My motto is to make learning fun and engaging by being a creative teacher!
Scaffold, differentiate and use various strategies so that the curriculum is accessible to them.
We are a Title I school, 100% of the kids receive free lunch and we are in an extremely underserved neighborhood.
My classroom is special because we make the impossible- possible by working very hard to achieve our goals! By trying our best, sharing our knowledge with each other and being kind, caring and accepting.
This course or professional development will help me learn to measure the impact of creativity in my classroom through design, implementation and innovation. It will help me to be more empowered, to confidently experiment with different techniques, exchange ideas and thoughts through collaboration and refine my knowledge to help flourish my creative culture.
This will help me understand individual learning styles and make me a more creative problem solver and thinker!
As a special education teacher we have to differentiate and consider the individual learning styles of each student. We have to think creatively, plan efficiently and effectively to make sure each and every lesson is fun and engaging!
I want to be a more confident, creative and empowered through innovation. Please help me be the best that I can be for my students!
