My Project

My special education students are reluctant readers, especially in the digital age. Turning away from the instant gratification of games and videos on their phones and toward the written word will help them understand people from their points of view and thus develop empathy.

"Followed" illustrates the importance of the THINK principle before posting anything digitally: is it truthful, helpful, inspiring, necessary, and kind!

The novel follows a group of teens as they deal with a stranger in their midst while people in their town go missing.

Over the years, my students have requested a follow-up; they don't like the cliffhanger ending. "FriendMe" continues the group's digital adventures.

Often, students need to listen to assignments with audio while working on EdPuzzles and Quizizz assignments. They work at their own pace and the classroom can get quite cacophonous at these times with everyone listening to different parts. The problem is that they have AirPods that won't connect to their Chromebooks. These earbuds allow my students to work without distractions. These cute little bags offer a way to store their individual earbuds.
