Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A child's first preschool experience should be fun, inviting, and nurturing. Children at this age learn best through play! I want to offer my students a fun, language rich, learning environment.
The students in my classroom are fun, active, loving children with a variety of special needs.
They never fail to surprise us with things they do at school; from saying a new word, to showing a new dance move during music and movement. Most of our students come from low income households where Spanish is the primary language spoken at home.
My Project
My students needs fun supplemental materials which are developmentally appropriate. The Think & Learn Code-a-pillar will reinforce lessons in the classroom and the tabletop light box will be a great addition to our Discovery Center which will help develop a broader understanding of basic math and science concepts.
Our students will be able to work on identifying shape, colors, directional terms, and most importantly, they will have endless opportunities to work on language development and social skills.
Our students will have complete access to all the materials requested. Th materials will be accessible during small group instruction as well as during free choice centers.
