This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school, and many of my students come from impoverished backgrounds. Most of them do not come to school with their own school supplies. Therefore, I am usually the provider of such necessities like pencils, paper, erasers, etc., which can be financially draining.
I am in dire need of a classroom printer, so that I will be able to print needed classroom materials, such as homework, classwork, and those spur of the moment activities that foster those teachable moments.
I find that my little ones learn best when they have ample opportunities to engage in meaningful activities that stimulate their thinking and help them make connections to the material that is being taught.
My Project
My project will help my little people with writing essays, completing projects and accessing homework assignments. They will be able to have concrete evidence of their hard work and their sense of accomplishment will flourish. I like to display their work around the classroom and a printer with toner will enable me to give more assignments that they can complete and feel pride in their work. Everyone likes to see when they have done an amazing job and my students aren't any different. Please help me fulfill this project so that I can enhance their learning experiences. These are truly the things that make you go "Wow!" with Whatley's Wonders!
