Help me give my students a digital piano and african drums to explore and create music that encourages social and emotional development while learning about other cultures!

My students are a burst of energy and are super creative! They are predominately African American with 99% of them receiving free or reduced school meals.
Our school is located in a high poverty neighborhood in Washington, DC and many of our students live in the nearby public housing and foster homes.
Nevertheless, they are excited about learning and they come to school every day with hope, expectation and enthusiasm learning and enjoy making music. Our school remains their safe space.
Do you know how to engage an naturally rhythmic and energetic group of young students?! Drums! These materials will give my students an opportunity to de-stress with some aerobic & rhythmic exercise and provide heightened feelings of well-being in an underserved community.
Drumming creates unity with fellow group members all playing together.
Once students have tried drumming, it will give them great insight into the art of playing musical instruments in general. Students will learn the detail in the music they listen to, and be able to pick out different musical lines that show up with active listening.
