My Students

My students are on the cusp of adulthood: seniors about to become college freshman. Many of my students want to be doctors, teachers, lawyers, scientists. They are all so different, yet so gifted.

One thing they have in common is that they need to prepare for their next steps in life and they all want to understand the literature that they read.

For a lot of them, my class is their last chance to gain a love of literature before the real world takes over.

My Project

Having a class set of How to Read Literature Like a Professor will allow my students the opportunity to quickly and successfully analyze literature. This is a text that we will reference throughout the entire school year.

The book brings in concepts that can be applied to every text that the student will come in contact with throughout their life.

The knowledge that they will learn from this book will be something that they can take with them, not only to college, but in life.

It is my goal to help the students that take this course, pass their exam that will earn them college credit. With a class set of How to Read Literature Like a Professor, my job will be easier.
