Help me give my students some flexible seating so that they are able to sit in different ways to help improve their learning and the way that they learn best.
This project expired on April 3, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
The group of students that I have this year are fun, excited, sweet, and full of movement. They need a good combination of structure, movement, talk time, and one-on-one support. They are curious about everything and all want to try their very best to learn. Although the students in the class have different individual needs they learn best through hands on learning.
Although everyone of my students have differences, this group of students really work as a team to try and accomplish all things that comes to them as a school family.
I am so proud of the class that I have and how far they have come this year already.
I have lots of kids that need options in the way they are sitting and learning. For a lot of my kids they are either standing behind their chairs or through the chairs. I want to be able to give them options so that they can get their bodies centered and ready to learn. If they are not comfortable then they are not focused on the teaching and learning.
I feel that the students will be noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools, chairs with arm rests, and the sit anywhere chairs will help out tremendously.
