This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"To know them is to love them!" This is what comes to mind when I think of my students. They are full of energy, humor and eager to learn. I have the privilege of exposing them to plays, vocabulary and ways to express their feelings.
Help!
This drama teacher needs your help. My students are so eager to perform that when they see song lyrics, they immediately want to turn them into a skit. They are "creative"!
My Project
As you can imagine, in this time of "technology" everywhere, it can be difficult to keep the attention of today's students. Surprise! I have found a way to engage my students.
Most students, even my struggling readers, get excited when I say we are reading a new script today.
The problem is that my school (an urban, Title I school) has no materials for my drama class. I have had to locate every script either online or by perusing old readers theater books.
I would like to create a script library for my drama classes and drama club. I have plenty of room to house these scripts. Won't you consider donating?
