I am the ESOL teacher at an elementary school in Greer, SC. I currently teach 57 students of varying cultures and language proficiencies. Our school has all of the stories in our reading series, including the leveled books used for differentiated instruction, on compact disks. I would like for my students to have CD players that could be checked out so they can listen to these stories at home. Most of the ESOL parents do not speak English or are learning it currently. These CD players would allow parents to be more involved in their child's learning, because they would be learning along with their child. The players would also help the students become more confident in responding to questions about the stories and/or reading aloud in their classrooms. Thank you for helping us learn in new and creative ways!
