In our classroom, located in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Colorado, everyone is a teacher and everyone is a learner.
We are a group of learners who are connecting globally, learning authentically, and displaying our creativity in a 21st century classroom.
To work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking my students are given choice throughout the day in how they learn and demonstrate their learning. In our classroom we are striving to create a creative and collaborative learning space so that all students can continue to achieve their best.
My Project
I would love to attend the ISTE Conference & Expo June 24-27, 2018, in Chicago. This event is the world’s most comprehensive Edtech event and is an invaluable professional development experience.
Teaching with technology is critical for our students today.
Using technology allows our students to develop their critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills. As a teacher it is crucial that I possess the skills and knowledge to guide and facilitate these learning opportunities. ISTE will provide me with hundreds of learning opportunities to equip me to teach students in digital age learning.
As an educator, I am also a learner. Technology is fast moving and integrating best practice into teaching and learning for my students is ever evolving. ISTE will provide me with one-of-a-kind opportunities to gain hands on experiences with the latest in education technology.
The learning opportunities this conference provides will help me to further empower my students and prepare them for the future.
