Help me give my students a classroom that feels like home! A little couch in the library area and a fun rug will help make the space inviting and warm!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students in my crew come from low-income families. They attend an inner-city public school where approximately 95% of students live below the poverty line. Our school serves students K-8, providing all students with free breakfast and lunch due to socioeconomic status.
Despite the many challenges my students face on a daily basis, they strive for achievement and thrive on learning new things.
My students are the most inspiring little humans around! My goal is to give students experiences they can carry with them throughout life and look to for confidence, encouragement, and love. It is my hope that I will be able to, in some way, positively affect each and every student that walks through my door.
My Project
This project will help make the classroom feel more like home. The couch and the rug will go in the classroom library area to make it more warm and inviting. Students have the option of where to sit during morning reading time and I know both the couch and the colorful rug will be a big hit!
Students wanting to be in the classroom/at school is half the battle!
These materials will absolutely help create an environment where students are able to learn and grew. Thank you for helping me create a warm classroom for my students to thrive in!
