This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergartners need to find ways to express their personalities and make their own music. Research shows that making music has developmental benefits for children.

Playing with instruments helps children build fine and gross motor skills, enhance hand-eye coordination, and teach patience and perseverance.

Incorporating shakers, tambourines, drums, and maracas into our break time will build on my student's creativity while developing physical and fundamental movement skills.

By playing instruments, my students can be better at controlling their own emotions and enjoy their break time when we play music on our radio.
