My Project

Therapy is a time that allows students the safe space they deserve to learn skills to effectively manage stress, anger, sadness, and other emotional issues. My students come from all over Philadelphia, and for some, school is where they feel the safest. I treat various students who have experienced trauma, and being able to enhance my office and make it a space that they feel comfortable means everything to me.

The products that I have selected will provide additional seating options in my office for students.

The comfy saucer seats can be offered to students who may need a quiet moment to rest and decompress. Furthermore, they are lightweight and can be positioned in a circle when I facilitate group sessions. Additionally, being able to offer them fidgets when they need to de-escalate, books to teach them skills, and games and coloring books to engage in activities with them affords children and myself the opportunity to build rapport and connect on a deeper level!
