Theraputic Swimming for Students with Special Needs

My Project

My students are severely cognitively impaired along with physical and medical considerations. These students attend a center-based program for students who have the most severe disabilities in our area of Western Wayne County in Michigan.

Our students have the opportunity to swim in a therapeutic swimming pool three days a week during the regular school year and two days a week during the summer.

Our pool operates on donations from the community and we fund-raise to provide swimming diapers and other supplies for this experience.
