This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our Pre-K students come in to school ready and excited to begin their learning adventure! We are in a Title I school and our students come to us with all kinds of different cultures, backgrounds, and languages. We feel that this only makes us more well rounded and able to learn from each other.
Although these students have overcome adversity already in their young lives they grow and succeed tremendously while attending our program.
They are ready to begin reading.
My Project
"Stories live forever, if only we tell them." My students need stories to read at home so that one day they will be able to tell their own.
With these books we will be able to give one to each student in the Pre-K program and they will be able to take it home to have for their very own.
The art supplies will be used during our storytelling festival to make book worms to put on their books and encourage excitement about reading and literacy. This project will help our students continue to have a love of learning and storytelling.
