My Students

My students attend school near a college campus which makes for a very diverse population. Some of the students are children of professors, while others are children of students. They come from many different ethnic backgrounds as well as socio-economic status.

I want my students to have multiple opportunities to learn about the cultures and traditions of their classmates.

I feel like this information and knowledge will help them with the interpersonal skills and lead to better academic success and continuing educational growth.

My Project

My school has not had a theatre program in quite a while. Our school population has such a diverse range of talents and I think it is time for us to have a creative outlet for the students to express themselves.

This project for Seussical the Musical will be the first step in getting a theatre program started at Irving Elementary School and will allow many students to enjoy the arts and engage in community events.

By contributing to this project you will help a lot of students find a positive extracurricular activity to be a part of that will engage families and community members!
