I teach the best kids in the best school! I am so thankful for my compassionate and ambitious students. My students attend a charter school which only receives partial funding as opposed to traditional public schools. Over half of the students that attend my school receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is incredibly diverse and reflect the many places the students come from. Students travel from all over the county to attend our school. Our school is a mastery based grading school so everything we do for our kids is to get them to master grade level standards. Our students are hard working and enthusiastic. They come to school ready to do their best every day!
My Project
I am requesting different books that tackle the topic of climate change. Our students are change makers! I know that once they are armed with facts about what we are doing to our planet, they will do their best to enact the change this world deserves.
Dr. Seuss was right when he wrote,"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not." I know my students will rise up and do everything they can to help our world.
These books will open their eyes to what is going on and how they can be part of the solution.
