This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have students with a wide range of abilities and needs. All students learn in a different way. I am my students' first contact with the school, and I want my students to be excited to come to school and learn. My students will greatly benefit from the use of varied instructional methods.
I love the way my students' eyes light up every day when they come to school.
School is a fun and exciting place for them. My mission is develop a love for learning that carries them to college.
My Project
The diversity crayons will allow my students to finally create accurate representations of themselves. There is a crayon shade to match their tone of brown skin. Positive self image begins in prekindergarten with the ability to see yourself in everything you do.
My students eat dry erase markers.
Fine, not eat but they utilize them daily which means a trip to the store to replenish our dry erase marker stash at least once a month! The class set of markers will allow the students to explore writing with different colors and to write without limitations. They will have no limits to the master pieces they write using dry erase markers.
