This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Common Core is here! Common Core is here! What exactly does that mean? Common Core Curriculum aims to have all students across the United States career and college ready. As a teacher, this means revamping the curriculum & instructional materials so that my students can meet those expectations.
My 3rd grade students come to school every morning seeking a new learning adventure.
With the extra materials and resources made available to them through Donors Choose, I believe they will be more prepared to tackle the obstacles they are faced with in life and be on their way towards achieving excellence. We need to instill a love for learning in our children because they are our future. The new Common Core State Standards have recently been adopted by our district. Help us get ready so we can conquer these new standards and have a successful 3rd grade year.
My Project
I am requesting 35 Common Core Writing Journals to strengthen their writing skills. The Writing Journals are just what my students need to master Common Core State Standards for writing narrative, informative, persuasive, and opinion pieces! The journal includes 60 writing exercises and tons of writing and editing tips that are all carefully organized by genre. Each page of the journal provides 4 different topics that students can choose from, which is great because with 4 choices it gives them the opportunity to write about something that actually interests them.
With your help, my students will be able to transition smoothly into the new Common Core Standards.
