My Students

Maybe you haven't heard, but K105 is Awesome! We want to share our awesome with the world through art.

My students are creative and curious and love to explore new concepts and materials.

My kiddos are 5 and 6 years old and are exploding with excitement to try new things and to to express themselves through academia, drama, and art. Our class is a part of a small school in a big city near the beach and we are inspired by nature and our imaginations.

My Project

I am requesting paint and canvas for my students. One of the most popular spots in my classroom is a place called the Lightbulb Lab. The Lightbulb Lab is a center that allows for ideas to come to life. I pack it full of fabric, magazines, crafting materials, art materials, etc with open ended possibilities. One of the materials we are lacking in our classroom is paint! We will use the paint for numerous projects and the canvas for one special project this school year.

This donation will help my students to access the materials they need to express themselves through art.

In a time when music, drama, dance, and art are being cut from schools I am hoping to integrate these arts in to our everyday curriculum, Paint is just one medium with which my kiddos can share their ideas with their classmates, families, and the world.
