Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach English Language Development to 72 students in grades 4-8 who have just arrived in this country. The education they have had in their own language is limited, and learning the geography of the world will help to make their reading more comprehensible. My students would greatly benefit from a globe to which they can refer as we read stories and do research about other countries and cultures. This interactive globe I've discovered for my students will tell them the facts, therefore motivating them to understand more when English is spoken. In addition, these activities will help the students master the standard for using different references in their research skills. Thank you very much for your generous consideration.
